Unless faulty, we do not offer a return service for items sold in the shop.
We sell our hens with a week guarantee against health problems or 2 weeks if you’re an advantage card member. Should in the unlikely event you have concerns about your hens please let us know as soon as you can. We are happy to issue a credit note or exchange hens (like for like breeds) that appear to be in poor health within this week period only. This excludes stress unless our recommendations have been followed.
We cannot extend this guarantee to protect hens against predators (e.g. foxes, dogs etc), any hens that escape from their new home or for behavioural problems. We have a strong belief in the quality of our birds but we are unable to guarantee them for longer than a week as we cannot control their living conditions or any stress which they may be exposed to.
You must give us 24 hours notice before you intend to return the hen(s) so we can make arrangements. This is important for the welfare of the hen(s); failure to do so may result in us being unable to take the hen(s) back. You will also need to bring the receipt from time of purchase.
However this can be changed at the sole discretion of the manager- Matt Taylor.
