Looks - The Ancona is very similar of that of a Exchequer Leghorn and often mistaken as a bantam version however it is a completely different breed. On closer inspection you can see that the White Mottling only appears on the tip of the feathers. They have an elegant, slender build with a fairly large comb and white ear lobes.

Personality - Extremely active, busy hens who can be very self sufficient when it comes to foraging. The downside is they take longer to gain trust and won't always like being handled. Also impressive flyers to either complete free range of and enclosed run will be the best option.

Eggs - A brilliant egg layer for its size, approximately 240 White eggs a year.

Day-To-Day - Quite happy to be left to its own business but in time may become more interactive with you.
